Dr. Rogerio C. Lilenbaum has been with the The Mt. Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Center Miami Beach, Florida since 1997. Prior to joining Mt. Sinai he was Assistant Professor of Medicine & Oncology at the University of Maryland Medical Center and Baltimore VA Medical Center.
Dr. Lilenbaum has an extensive educational background in Hematology/Oncology. He received his M.D. from The Federal University of Rio de Janeiro School of Medicine, Brazil and a Masters in Clinical Epidemiology/Clinical Investigation Harvard School of Public Health, Boston. He received his internship training at the Department of Internal Medicine University Hospital, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He received his Hematology/Oncology
Clinical Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MI and his Clinical Research Fellowship, Division of Hematology/Oncology University of California San Diego Medical Center, San Diego, CA.
He is first author of numerous peer-reviewed scientific papers and has presented research findings to important groups such as the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Chemotherapy Foundation Symposium. He has been a reviewer for prestigious scientific journals such as : Annals of Internal Medicine; Journal of Clinical Oncology; Cancer; Cancer Chemotherapy Pharmacology; Drugs.
Dr. Lilenbaum is a respected clinical oncologist with a passion for clinical research and has served as director for the Annual Lung Cancer Symposium held in Miami Beach, Florida. This meeting has brought world renowned experts from around the world to exchange information on the advances in the clinical treatment of lung cancer and lung cancer research.
